If you are considering a trip to Asia, you might be surprised at how hard it is to find a good package deal. There are trips galore to New York, Paris or even Las Vegas – but how do you find China vacation packages?

Of course, you can do a search online for deals and packages going to China. You will find that the results are not the same as when you search for a package to a Western destination – with China, you will likely find more dedicated tour operators who specialize only in trips in and around China. But if you visit the usual online travel sites, you will find that many of them will offer flight and hotel packages to the larger cities like Beijing. These packages are less likely to be the ones you see in random ads online, but just because they are not published does not mean they are not offered. Check with your favorite online travel site, and you might be pleasantly surprised.

If that avenue fails to turn up the travel plans that you are looking for, you can enlist the services of a local travel agent. Again, the trip you are looking to take is not one that many people take, so your selections may be somewhat limited. But a travel agent will have access to a system that will allow them to look up information for you about other departure areas, available tours, and can give you some information about the prices for the different trips that are on the market.

If you prefer not to deal with a travel agent, you can contact the airlines directly. Many airlines have partnerships with hotel providers and tour operators, and can either book you directly for the entirety of your package, or can at least direct you to their partner for more information. You can also enquire with the airline about the availability of last minute saver fares to China, which would be substantially less expensive, but would require you to be on standby for a flight that you might not end up taking. If you have booked a tour in China, this can be problematic.

In the end, finding China vacation packages means doing some legwork and some research. It is not as simple as booking a travel deal for a more common Western destination – but your hard work will pay off once you land in China, and begin your dream vacation.
